Harrison Williams sets high school record

To all,

An addendum to the previous e-mail about Harrison Williams, the incoming Stanford freshman who finished sixth in the decathlon at the IAAF World Junior Track and Field Championships on Wednesday in Eugene.

Williams’ total of 7,760 points is a national high school record. It broke the mark of 7,748 set by Gunnar Nixon of Santa Fe (Edmond, Okla.) High School in 2011. Williams is a recent graduate of Memphis (Tenn.) University School.
