Names as assistant coaches for the men’s staff were: Curtis Frye (sprints/hurdles), Stephen Cooksey (jumps/combined events), Brian Blutreich (throws) and Troy Engle (distance).

Alford-Sullivan to lead Team USA’s women
As the director and head coach of track & field and cross country at Penn State, Alford-Sullivan has coached 138 NCAA All-Americans and led her athletes to 78 Big Ten individual champions and four NCAA championships. During the 2011-2012 season, she led the Nittany Lions to eight individual Big Ten Championship titles, two conference relay titles and the women’s team to a 13th place finish in the team standings at the NCAA Cross Country Championships - the best finish from the PSU program in nearly two decades.

Top athletes to developed under Alford-Sullivan include Bridget Franek, Connie Moore, Shana Cox and Casmir Loxam.

No less than 14 conference and regional coach of the year honors have been awarded to Alford-Sullivan in her 14 years of coaching the Nittany Lions. Prior to Penn State, Alford-Sullivan served on the staffs at Stanford, Mankato State University, Southeast Missouri State University and Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.

Alford-Sullivan has served on the Team USA coaching staffs numerous times including the 2004 Olympic Games, 2001 and 2003 World Championships, 2011 Junior Pan American Championships and 2008 NACAC U-23 Championships.

Hollway to lead Team USA’s men
As the head men’s and women’s track & field and cross country coach at Florida, Holloway has coached nearly 500 All-America honors athletes and more than 30 individual NCAA championships. Holloway’s athletes have also found success on the world stage, as he has coached five athletes to a total of 11 Olympic or World Championships medals, seven of which were gold.

The Gator men swept the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Championship titles in 2012 and picked up their third-consecutive NCAA Indoor title. On the women’s side, Holloway led the Gators to their second SEC team title in three years and seventh title in program history.

Some of the top athletes coached by Holloway include: Derrick Atkins, John Capel, Kerron Clement, Jeff Demps and Tony McQuay.

Holloway is a four-time recipient of the USTFCCCA’s Men’s Coach of the Year award, having received the honor three times for the indoor season and once for the outdoor season.
