I have announced the high school portion of this meet since 2000. The previous announcer was Robert "Bob" Womack, an accountant from Fresno. He died in 1999 at the age of 67. http://www.ontrackandfield.com/main/catalog/dedication2000.html

The Stanford Invitational was held on the same weekend as the Arcadia Invitational. This resulted in no Southern California high schools entering the meet for the first time. Stanford decided to move their meet a week later in order not to conflict with the Texas Relays.
