For the first time, DII and DIII relays included in ceremony
USTFCCCA Convention News
December 10, 2011
SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Accusplit, the leader in the professional stopwatch and timing industry since 1972, will recognize the nation’s best collegiate relay teams and their coaches for an historic 30th time on Tuesday morning. The Accusplit Breakfast to be held at the USTFCCCA Convention will honor those squads in NCAA Division I, and for the first time NCAA Divisions II and III, that had the top relay performances of the 2011 outdoor track & field season.
This year marks the first in which the ceremony will take place at the USTFCCCA Convention. Previously, the awards ceremony has taken place at the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
“We are honored that Accusplit has partnered with our organization to present these outstanding achievements at our convention,” said USTFCCCA CEO Sam Seemes. “Accusplit’s Steve Simmons created this award 30 years ago, and we thank him and Accusplit President Ron Sutton for supporting this cause and track & field. We are great partners and I look forward to building our relationship for years to come.”
