Women's Steeplechase Report

2011 World Championship Schedule announced
An improved World Championship competition schedule, with
a benefit for steeplers, was announced today by the International
Association of Athletics Federations.
The new schedule is effective for the World Championships
at Daegu, Korea (August 27 – September 4, 2011).
Women steeplers will have two full days of rest between the
first round and final instead of only one day as in previous world
championships: 2009 at Berlin, 2007 at Osaka, 2005 at Helsinki.
At Daegu the first round starts 1035 Saturday morning, August
27, and the final is scheduled for 2120 on Tuesday, Aug 30. Men’s
trials are Monday, Aug 29; their final is Thursday, Sep 1. More at
