Although the Athletic Federation of Nigeria, AFN, is still discussing the modalities of how to get former America champion Lee Evans to draw up a programme to lift track and field in the country, the 1968 Olympic gold medallist in the quarter-mile has gone on to volunteer to join Nigeria’s party to next month’s IAAF World Championships taking place in Berlin Germany.
