Stanford: The American Junior record holder in the 5,000 meters … Look for Lauren to continue to be a major factor in Stanford’s success on the national level … Her potential at the collegiate level is unlimited … Competed in the 5,000 meters at the 2000 Olympic Trials. 2000 Track & Field Season: Voted the Pac-10 Track & Field Co-Newcomer of the Year …Set the freshman school record and fourth best all-time in the 1,500 meters at 4:17.76 to gain All-America honors at the NCAA Championships at Duke University … Finished fifth at the NCAA’s, after posting a second place finish at the Pac-10 Championships at Oregon … Also an NCAA qualifier in the 5,000 meters, but did not run in that event at the NCAA’s … Ran the third fastest time in Pac-10 history and surpassed the Olympic Trials standard at 15:50.18 in the 5,000 meters at the Mt.
