Amy-Eloise Neale's (Glacier Peak HS, Snohomish, WA) Tall Order

Neale hopes to contend for the NXN title. She is one of five of the top six girls from last year’s finals returning this season. And, along with Neale, it’s quite a sensational contingent: reigning national champion Sarah Baxter of Simi Valley High in California; 3rd-place finisher Katie Knight of North Central High in Spokane, who defeated Neale in last year’s state 3A cross-country finals; 4th-place finisher Jillian Fanning, who led Fayetteville-Manlius of New York to its sixth straight team championship; and another New Yorker, 6th-place Mary Cain of Bronxville, who ripped off a national record 1500 meters of 4:11.01 over the summer at the World junior meet in Barcelona.

Keith Conning: Neale won the Stanford Cross Country Invitational on 9/24/11 and the Arcadia Invitational mile on 4/7/12.
