About Jennifer:
Jennifer competes for the Kajaks Track & Field Club in the hammer throw, one of the most technical and powerful events in Track & Field. She is training to compete at her first Olympic Games after qualifying, but missing selection in 2008 & 2004. After coming back from a season-ending back injury in 2010, Jennifer is stronger, healthier and more motivated than ever to realize her lifelong dream of being an Olympian and bringing an Olympic medal back home to Canada.

Off the track, Jennifer works to promote physical literacy and engage her community to be active and healthy. She is involved with several organizations; including the PAART Program and Run, Jump, Throw which both engage and encourage physical literacy in youth. In addition, her positions as Sport Performance Coordinator at PacificSport Interior BC and Strength & Conditioning Coach for many high performance athletes allow her to have a positive impact in the community from the youth/grassroots level up to adult/high performance.
Jennifer also is giving back through governance and advocacy. She currently sits on the Board of Directors for BC Athlete Voice and Athletics Canada (Female Athlete Representative) as well as being a member of the Commonwealth Games Canada Athlete Council.
