Lauryn Newson- Student-Athlete of the Week

Lauryn Newson from Oregon’s Track and Field team is this week's student athlete of the week! Newson, a Senior from Richmond, CA., was an integral part throughout the Pac-12 Championships and helped lead the Ducks to their sixth consecutive conference title.
On the day, Newson placed third in the 200, won the triple jump by an inch, was runner-up in the 100 meters, and took the third leg in Oregon's winning 4x100 meter relay team. In total, Newson amassed 26.5 points and was named Pac-12 Athlete of the Meet.
The Oregon Track and Field team has finished it's home season at historic Hayward Field, but be sure to look out for Newson and the rest of the Ducks as they press for the NCAA title!
