I watched part of the meet on www.universalsports.com for a nominal charge of $1.99. I experienced trouble with the broadcast. They started late and it was interrupted several times. Several viewers commented on the Track & Field News message board.

I visited the Stockholm Stadium in 1972 on my way to Munich, Germany for the Olympic Games.

One of the best races was the women's 200 meters, which featured Allyson Felix and Shalonda Solomon, who have been competing against each other since high school days. Felix is one month older than Solomon. They were both born in Los Angeles.

Allyson Felix (Los Angeles Baptist 2003; Southern California 2008 dnc), the three-time reigning World 200m champion, won the 200 meters in 22.41 (-0.2).
