Ty Hadley, who now lives in Placerville, competed in today's Eppie's Great Race Triathlon in Sacramento. Here is a video which includes an interview with him. He is now 74 years old.

Senior Ty Hadley (Bellflower HS, Southern Section) won the State Meet mile in 1954 in 4:25.8. He also placed third in the 1953 State Meet 880 yards in 1:58.9. Junior Don Bowden (Lincoln, San Jose) won in 1:57.1.
The Bellflower two mile relay team of Ron Way 2:00.6, George Saunders 2:01.2, Larry Wray 1:57.9, and Ty Hadley 1:56.3 set a national interscholastic record on 7:56.0 in the Compton Invitational Meet at Compton, CA on June 5, 1953.
Ty attended the banquet in Berkeley for Don Bowden in 1957. There is a picture of him with Payton Jordan.
