Police making progress on high-profile homicide cases

Detectives are nearing the end of their investigation into the Oxnard shooting death of former Olympic shot-putter Dave Laut in August, and police expect to make an arrest after the case is forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office, Oxnard Police Chief John Crombach said.
