Dr. David Sime, a noted eye doctor and a former Olympian often called the fastest human on earth, has died in Florida. Sime went on to Duke University on a baseball scholarship and continued his success in both football in baseball.

His patients primarily knew him as Dr. David Sime, a renowned Miami ophthalmologist who was a pioneer in laser surgery and treated Richard Nixon, Mickey Mantle, Ted Williams, Don Shula and Bob Griese.
