BOSTON – The Dartmouth men’s track & field continued its indoor season with the final meet of 2015 on Saturday at the Jay Carisella Invitational hosted by Northeastern.
The meet was held at the Reggie Lewis Center and saw the Big Green finish fifth with 83 points.
One highlight of the day was junior Corey Muggler’s win in the triple jump as his 45-10.75/13.99m on his sixth and final jump proved to be more than a foot better than anyone else’s to take the event title.
Freshman Sam Siegel also the pole vault by clearing 14-9.0/4.50m on his second attempt, giving Dartmouth its second event win of the afternoon.
Zachary Plante (Hometown Menlo Park, California (50.77) and Edward Wagner (51.17) were fourth and sixth, respectively, in the 400m, while the latter was also sixth (22.89) and the former eighth (22.97) in the 200m.
Jules Hislop was fifth in the 500m, crossing in 1:07.45, while senior Kevin Stanko claimed third in the 800m in 1:57.95.
The finals of the 60m hurdles saw three Dartmouth runners claim points with freshman Alec Eschholz leading the way in third in 8.23. Alex Frye (8.47) and Daniel Katz (8.58) were sixth and seventh.
Frye also claimed fourth in the high jump with a 6-4.0/1.93m to his credit on his second attempt at the height.
The Big Green will return to action again in January. The first meet back is the Dartmouth Relays on Jan. 8-10.
