USATF Foundation accepting youth grant applications

The USA Track & Field Foundation is currently accepting youth grant applications from interested clubs and organizations for its next round of 2011 youth grants, announced USATF Foundation Executive Director Tom Jackovic. The youth grants typically fund such expenses as uniforms, travel expenses, equipment and entry fees.

Interested parties may fill out the USATF Foundation grant application online at www.usatffoundation.org.

The Foundation will be reviewing the applications over the next few weeks and applicants are encouraged to submit their application as soon as possible to receive consideration. Grant award winners are expected to be selected in mid-June.

The USATF Foundation provides a means to attract and guide funds to new and innovative track and field programs with an emphasis on providing opportunities for youth athletes, emerging elite athletes, distance training centers and anti-doping education.
