Eight-day session packages available for seats in all sections at Historic Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore.

Eugene, Ore. – (May 3, 2011) –– The road to the London 2012 Olympic Games will come to TrackTown USA, from June 22 to July 1, 2012, for the U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Track and Field. All-session ticket packages to attend the eight days of competition will go on sale this Friday, May 6.

Historic Hayward Field at the University of Oregon is once again expected to sell out, so fans are encouraged to purchase ticket packages as early as possible.

Ticket packages range in price from $283 to $533 and can be purchased online at TrackTown12.com beginning at 9 a.m. PT on Friday, May 6. Tickets are also available by phone at 800-932-3668 or in Eugene at the UO Autzen Stadium south ticket building only. All orders are limited to six tickets per household and include a $35 processing fee. In recognition of Visa's sponsorship of the U.S. Olympic Team, we are proud to accept only Visa at the 2012 Olympic Track and Field Trials, along with personal checks. Single-day tickets will be available in Spring 2012.

“Our staff is prepared to handle a high volume of ticket requests on May 6,” UO Ticket Office Manager Jeff Stewart said. “Since long lines in person and over the phone are expected, the quickest and easiest way to purchase tickets is through TrackTown12.com or GoDucks.com.”

If patrons choose to purchase tickets in person, please be advised that the ticket office at the Len Casanova Center will be closed for renovations. The ticket office on the South side of Autzen Stadium will be open.

TrackTown USA – an entity which includes the Oregon Track Club, the University of Oregon and the cities of Eugene and Springfield – is privileged to host the meet as an encore to the 2008 Olympic Trials, and an opportunity for the state of Oregon to honor its many connections to the sport of track and field.

“From day one, we’ve set out to exceed the expectations of athletes, fans and the community for the Olympic Trials,” said Vin Lananna, co-chair of the Local Organizing Committee and Associate Athletic Director at the University of Oregon. “The fans cheering athletes around the Bowerman curve or clapping in unison for the field events are what make this place magic for all the athletes who compete here.”

As in 2008, additional seats in temporary bleachers will be added to Hayward Field to expand the size of the capacity crowd.

“It’s exciting to think about an even bigger crowd than we had in 2008 being on-hand to watch our Team USA athletes get selected for the London Olympic Games,” Lananna said.

To extend the energy and pride in the pinnacle of the sport for the athletes, the Local Organizing Committee is once again planning for a fan festival with entertainment, athlete appearances, partner interactive experiences, Nike merchandise, concessions, and the Starting Block for youth participation. In 2008, approximately 220,000 ticket holders, as well as 40,000 non-ticket holders attended the festival as part of the meet.
