Track & Field Ready To Battle For MPSF Indoor Crown This Weekend
Men's and women's squads travel to Seattle for MPSF Championships

The UCLA track and field teams will travel to Seattle, WA this weekend to compete in the MPSF Indoor Championships on Friday and Saturday. The men's squad heads into the meet ranked 15th in the nation with 12 NCAA qualifiers. The women's team is not ranked, but have four NCAA qualifiers this season with many women making their indoor debut this weekend.

Other teams competing this weekend include Arizona, Arizona State, California, Cal State Northridge, Long Beach State, Oregon, Stanford, Washington and Washington State.

On the men's side, Boldizsar Kocsor leads the team into competition as the sole Bruin with an NCAA automatic qualifier (weight throw, 70-10.75). Other performers of note this weekend include the distance medley relay team, Cory Primm (800m), Nick Robinson and Bo Taylor (shot put), Kevin Craddock (60m hurdles), Johnny Quinn (pole vault), Greg Woepse (pole vault), Dustin DeLeo (pole vault), Jonathan Clark (triple jump), Taylor Hobson (high jump) and Marlon Patterson (mile).

For the women, Rhonda Watkins leads the way as she is slated to compete in the high jump. Nicole Leach will run with the relay and in the open 400m. Ke'Nyia Richardson will open up her indoor season in the triple jump, while heralded newcomer Ryann Krais will compete in the pentathlon.
