Police: Eighth-grade boy hospitalized after beating at Berkeley school
I taught at King Jr. High in Berkeley from 1968-1973. It was common for students to encourage others to continue fighting. I tried to break up a fight on the field and someone threw a raw egg at my head. I learned my lesson. Principal Harold Treadwell paid for the cleaning of my Harris tweed sport coat. I
