About Michael
Morrison placed his name among the country’s elite decathletes with a top three ranking in 2011 from Track & Field News. His personal best of 8,118 to win the NCAA title helped him to be ranked behind just Trey Hardee and Ashton Eaton at the end of the last year. The school record holder in the event at Cal, he attended Great Bridge High School where he also participated in football and volleyball. A political science major at Cal, Morrison fought to overcome an elbow surgery in 2009 to become an NCAA champion.
