My daughter Sarah Conning graduated from Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota, an NCAA Division III school, in 1991. She received an excellent education and had the opportunity to run cross country, indoor and outdoor track for all four years. She would not have had this opportunity at Cal or Stanford, since she was not Division I material out of high school. In her senior season at Carleton her best time would have placed her third in the Big Meet between Cal and Stanford. She received her Masters of Social Work (MSW) at UC Berkeley in 1999. She is now a Social Worker at the University of Chicago Department of Radiation and Cellular Oncology.
