Robin Wilson Obituary
Robin Wilson
August 4, 1944 - June 8, 2014
Resident of Sacramento
On June 8th, 2014 Robin Towns Wilson was called home after a two-year battle with cancer. Robin was a graduate of San Jose State University and UC Davis School of Law. He married the love of his life, Betty Wilson, in 1970 and they lived together in Oakland with their two children before relocating to Sacramento in 1980.
Robin retired from the State of California as Chief Council for the Department of Real Estate in 2004. A lover of all sports, he was an avid fan of the Oakland Raiders, the Cal Bears, the Oakland A's, golf, and track and field. A true family man, Robin was a loving father, a committed husband, a brother, uncle, and friend to many who knew him. His honest, open, good-natured spirit, broad smile, and infectious laugh touched many lives.
He is survived by his wife Betty, daughter Hope, son Robin Todd (Rebecca), twin brother Lionel, brothers Stephen and Kevin, many nephews, nieces, cousins, friends, and his grandson Robin Khalil.
A Celebration of Life will be held later this summer. In lieu of flowers, remembrances in Robin's name may be made to the Center for Fathers and Families or St. John's Shelter for Women and Children. The family appreciates all of the love and support they have received during this difficult time.

=================================================
Keith Conning: I met Robin and his twin brother Lionel through our interest in the sport of track and field.  Lionel and I worked together on the Oakland Invitational Relays.  Robin and Lionel were introduced to track and field at Edwards Stadium in Berkeley.
My father took me and my brother to many track meets at Cal.  I remember seeing miler Wes Santee run for Kansas in a dual meet at Cal in 1954.
