The 2014 NCAA Division I Outdoor men’s team champion Oregon Ducks will be the best-represented men’s program in Sacramento with seven entries scheduled to compete. NCAA Championships 110-meter record-holder Devon Allen is seeded second in his signature event to lead the Ducks.

Also well represented on the men’s side are Arkansas with six entries and both Florida and Wisconsin with five each.

Texas will send the most collegiate women of any program in the country, also with seven entries. In addition to Biasden, indoor pole vault collegiate record-holder Kaitlin Petrillose is seeded fourth and sprinter Morolake Akinosun is fifth at 100 meters.

Kentucky is next with six entries, while Penn State and Florida both have five apiece.

This top-level competition isn’t limited to just Division I, however.

Division II will be represented by 17 men and seven women, including seven men and four women who won national titles in 2014. Chief among them from a national descending order list perspective is Texas A&M-Kingsville’s Jeron Robinson, who tied the Division II high jump record and is seeded equal to third.

Christy Cazzola of UW-Oshkosh will once again take on the nation’s best at 800 and/or 1500 meters after competing in this meet a year ago. This year at the DIII Championships she won three individual distance titles in the span of three hours – for the second year in a row.

Among the six NAIA athletes at the meet will be Hillary Holt, which could set up a DIII vs. NAIA battle between their biggest middle-distance stars: Holt and Cazzola.

Additionally, two NJCAA athletes have declared.
