100-meter hurdles: Kendell Williams (Georgia) became first collegiate woman to break the 13-second barrier in the heptathlon with a 2014 World Junior-leading 12.99 (+1.8m/s) … the previous collegiate & NCAA Championships record for the heptathlon 100-meter hurdles was 13.02 by two-time NCAA heptathlon champ Tiffany Lott of BYU in 1997 … She became just the ninth junior in World history to break the 13-second barrier, ranked No. 9 all-time just behind 2010 The Bowerman winner Queen Harrison (12.98) … Her time was the fastest by a junior since Harrison in June of 2007.

Men’s 4×400 Relay: (DQ, protest pending) … Texas A&M, heat 1 winner in 3:00.76, just missed the meet’s all-time fastest qualifier of 3:00.60 set by Baylor in 1995 … A&M was anchored by Deon Lendore in 44.88 — the top anchor time in the semifinals … Western Kentucky (anchored by Elvyonn Bailey in 44.96) qualifies for final for the first time in school history … SEC moves four to the final … Two-time defending champ: Florida qualifies for the final, winning heat 2 in 3:04.33 … last team to win three-straight in event was UCLA who took six-straight in 4×440-yard relay from 1969 to 1974.
Women’s 4×400 Relay: Top qualifier was Texas, 3:28.89 winning heat 3 (anchor Courtney Okolo with 50.68 split) … Texas A&M also at 3:28.89 to win heat 2, but one thousandth of a second behind Texas’ qualifier … Defending champ: Arkansas won heat 1 in 3:29.95.
