Dartmouth Women's XC Finish in a Tie for Sixth at New England Championships

BOSTON, MASS. - The Dartmouth women's cross country team finished in a tie for sixth place at the New England Championships on Saturday in Boston, Mass. The Big Green finished with 221 points. The race was dominated by Boston College (21 points) who took four of the top five spots. Connecticut (116 points) finished second and Middlebury (163) finished third.
The top placer for Dartmouth was Katelyn Walker. The freshman finished in 27th place with a time of 18:20. Junior Alexi Pappas (Bishop O'Dowd High School, Oakland; Hometown: Alameda, Calif.) placed 34th (18:31) and Bridget End (Summit, N.J.) crossed at 49th (18:49). The two other runners that scored for Dartmouth were Elizabeth Short (North Reading, Mass.) and Arianna Vailas (Manchester, N.H.). The Big Green finished better than the two other Ivy League schools competing; Yale (eighth) and Brown (21st).
Dartmouth next competes in the Mayor's Cup in two weeks, Oct. 24, at Boston, Mass.
