Lomong Lopez at Mariner Invitational Dinner and Clinic
You're invited to come on Friday, October 15th, to our 27th Annual Moreau Catholic "Mariner" and Saucony Cross-Country Dinner and Clinic to be held the night before our 27th Annual Mariner-Saucony Invitational. Once again, Saucony and Transports will be providing the best in running for you and your runners on Friday and Saturday!
2008 U.S.A. Olympian, Lopez Lomong, will be guest speaking at this year's Dinner and Clinic, and will also host a question and answer period following the all-you-can-eat pasta dinner. At the end of dinner will be a raffle for plenty of chances to win great running equipment sponsored by Saucony and Transports of Oakland and Berkeley. Dinner entry is only $5 per person.
Lopez Lomong, one of the Lost Boys of the Sudan, was recently a Flag Bearer for the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team in Beijing. He is the 9th ranked American 1500-Meter Racer of all time. In 2009, Lopez claimed the U.S. Outdoor 1500-Meter Championship. In 2010, he reclaimed his championship to win the U.S. Outdoor 1500-Meter Championship back-to-back years.
