READ ALL MEET INFORMATION
MEET: Sacramento State High School Track Classic
DATE: Saturday, March 5, 2016

WHERE: Hornet Stadium, Sacramento State University
Host of the 2000 & 2004 US Olympic Trials and the 2014 USATF Outdoor Championships,
2016 USATF Junior Olympics National Championships
FACILITIES: Hornet Stadium is furnished with a superfast 400 meter MONDO surface. The horizontal jump runways are MONDO. The throwing circles are brushed concrete. A full 2 lane 400m
MONDO warm-up track with 6 lanes on the straightaway is located directly North of the stadium
PARKING: Team parking will be located in lot 10 south of the stadium (7480 College Town Drive,
95826). PERSONAL vehicles may be ticketed if a valid parking permit is not visible in the
windshield. Daily permits may be purchased from kiosks in most lots.
ADMISSION: Adults $5.00 and Youth (ages 5-17) $3.00.
TEAM PACKETS: Team Packets should be picked up starting at 8:00am at the ticket booth at Gate 4 outside
Hornet Stadium Southeast Entrance. Entry fees must be paid to receive your team packets.
Athlete and Coach’s wristbands will be included in the meet packet.
ATHLETE VENUE ENTRY:
All athletes will enter Hornet Stadium at Gate 2 (Northeast Corner of Stadium) between
8:30 and 10:00am. After this they may enter thru gate 4 or at the gate coming in from the
warm-up track. They must have on their wristband!
ENTRIES: Entries will be processed via www.athletic.net For confirmed teams that do not already
have an Athletic.net account please visit the following link:
http://www.Athletic.net/Wizard/. Athletes of any grade may be entered.
ENTRY FEES: $250.00 per school / $125 for single gender teams. Teams with 12 or fewer accepted entries the fee is $10.00 per athlete. ENTRY FEES ARE DUE AT PACKET PICKUP. Do not mail a check! Make checks payable to: JESUIT HIGH SCHOOL or pay with CASH
ENTRY DEADLINE: Teams wishing to enter the meet must email Tom.McGUIRE@jesuithighschool.org by Monday, February 15 to be added via www.athletic.net. Teams requesting late entry will be considered on a case by case basis and subject to a $50 per gender late fee.
Meet entries for your team must be finalized on athletic.net by Monday, February 29 at 10:00pm. No additional entries will be accepted after this time. No changes or additions will be accepted the day of the meet.
ENTRY LIMITS: Each team will be limited to 3 or 4 individual entries per event. See the entry limits for each event on the schedule of events below.
FIELD SIZES: To improve the quality of the meet and assure continued opportunity for each program we have established field limits for the track events.
IMPORTANT – Because we are limiting the field sizes you are encouraged to enter in all relays because you are not assured of individual entries. Only entries with verifiable seed marks using Athletic.net will be accepted. Coaches may challenge the accuracy of an entry by emailing trackcc@csus.edu
ENTRY TIMELINE:

• Tuesday, March 1 Entries will be posted with seed marks by the end of the day
• Wednesday, March 2 Coaches’ challenges to any entry must be submitted by 10:00pm
• Thursday, March 3 Final fields will be posted
• Friday, March 4 Heat/flight sheets with final time schedule will be posted by 12:00pm
WARM-UP AREA: All general warm-ups must be conducted on the warm-up track.
EVENT CHECK-IN: All running event/relay teams must check-in with the clerk of the course 30 minutes prior to the event. Field event competitors will check-in at the respective event site at least 30 minutes prior to event.
SPIKES: ¼ inch pyramid or 6mm Xmas tree only. No needle or pin spikes allowed.
¼” pyramid spikes will be for sale ($5.00 per bag of 14).
FIELD EVENTS: The horizontal jumps will be conducted in an open pit format with a pre-determined beginning and end time. Athletes may take up to 4 attempts in the horizontal jumps. All throwing events will be heated with 3 preliminary throws and the top 8 will have a final flight with 3 additional attempts.
WEIGH INS: Weigh-ins will be conducted from 8:30am to 11:00am near the entry to the warm-up track. Throwing events which are contested first will be given priority.
MINIMUM MARKS: Field event athletes will have their first legal mark measured. Any mark thereafter needs to meet the minimum distance to be measured.
RESULTS: Results will be posted on the results board near the WELL at the North end of the stadium during the meet. Complete results will be available online at www.hornetsports.com and
Athletic.net.
AWARDS: Top 3 individuals in open races and field events and the winning relay team will receive
medals. Awards will be presented at midfield immediately after the conclusion of the event.
Awards not received during the respective event presentation may be picked up by the
coach only from the awards area at any time. Awards will not be mailed!
RULES: This meet will be governed by California High School Rules. This is a non-scored meet.
TEAM TENTS: Team tents will be allowed in the East grandstand anywhere in the upper rows of the lower deck only. In the West grandstand in sections 216 and 217 and above row 20 in sections
209, 210, & 215. Team tents may also be set up on the West side of the warm-up track.
RESTROOMS: Restrooms will be available behind stadium bleachers. Locker room facilities and showers will NOT be available. There is no athlete / spectator access to the Broad Fieldhouse.
FIRST AID: Limited athletic training services (first aid) will be provided and located at the southwest corner of the competition track.
MERCHANDISE & CONCESSIONS: Both concessions and merchandise will be for sale. A commemorative Sacramento State High School Track Classic dri-fit tee shirt will be sold for $15.00. There will be a limited quantity available.
TIME SCHEDULE: Heats, flights and final time schedule will be posted on www.hornetsports.com no later than Friday, March 4 by noon. Calls for the field events will be made on stadium PA system.
