A week after dominating the California state championship, Great Oak ended up on the right side of a tight finish from eighth to 12th that saw only six points separate 5 teams. Great Oak ended up with 276, just nipping Simi Valley (277), Bozeman (278), Pennsbury (279), and Davis (282).

The Sarah Baxter-led Simi Valley girls finished the season on a high note with a ninth-place finish at NXN following their Division 2 California state championship the week before.
