2009-2010: Redshirted both cross country and track for the ’Cats…Turned in several solid performances in the fall competing unattached…Finished in 29th place at the Irvine Invitational…Came in fifth overall at the West Regional Preview meet at San Francisco State…Posted a 24:50 PR while finishing among the top 10 at the Santa Clara Invitational…Wrapped up fall season with a 30:44 10k at the Almond Bowl footrace…On the track, posted a Chico State frosh record of 14:38 for the 5k at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival…Recorded the fastest 10k (30:19) by a Wildcat true frosh at the Mt Sac Invitational.
High School: A standout runner at Barstow HS…Helped his team to four straight team titles at the state cross country championships…As a senior, his second place finish at the state meet (15:15 5k PR) earned All-State cross country honors…On the track, finished second in the Arcadia Invitational 5k (14:45) and finished senior season with an 8:57 run in 3200m at the California State Championships.
