Kevin Michael Griffith (San Ramon Valley, Danville 2010; UC Davis fall 2011; Purdue 2014)

A note from Doug Griffith, the father of Kevin Griffith:

Kevin is in his fifth year at Purdue majoring in Industrial Engineering. He is out of eligibility and had a great final year of competition this past spring. He ran the 5th fastest time in Purdue history with a 1:48.60 this year and got to the finals of the NCAA East Regional for the second straight year. He is happy to finally be just a student for his final year in college. He already has a job in Chicago with JP Morgan when he graduates. Lastly, he also has was a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and Academic All-American these past two years. Being as close as you are to California high school track & field, you might be interested to know that in the past 10 years, Charles Jock (1:44.67) and Nathaniel Litwiller are the only two CA high school 800M runners to run faster than Kevin at the collegiate level. Most kids have a very difficult time adjusting to competing in college.
