The Ogden, Utah team of sophomore Christian Warren 4:16.06, junior Garrett Barton 4:16.44, junior Travis Feeney 4:21.13, and senior Alex Parsons 4:10.94 set a new high school record in the 4 x Mile in 17:04.55. The old record of 17:06.6 was set by South, Eugene, Oregon in 1976. (Dirk Lakeman 4:16.9, Chris Nielsen 4:19.7, Bill McChesney 4:11.8, John Gustafson 4:18.2)
Great Oak (Temecula, CA) placed second in 17:04.61 also under the old record. Isaac Cortes, the state meet 1600 meter champion, ran 4:06.54.
