Cross Country Set For Dual Meets Saturday
Golden Bears To Compete Saturday at NCAA Pre-National and Bronco Invitational

BERKELEY – The California men’s and women’s cross country teams send squads to Louisville, Ky., and Sunnyvale this Saturday in a pair of meets that will get the Bears ready for conference and national competition.
A strong contingent heads to compete in the Pre-National Invitational held at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Ky., and another squad travels south on I-880 to participate in the Bronco Invitational hosted by Santa Clara University at Baylands Park in Sunnyvale.
The Pre-National meet is a preview of the upcoming NCAA Cross Country National Championship that will be held in Louisville on Nov. 21. The meet provides an opportunity for squads hoping to run on the course before qualifying for nationals in a month. Over 41 teams are competing in the seeded races in what promises to be the biggest meet of the season before championships begin. A men’s 8K and women’s 6K race will begin at 9:30 a.m. ET.
The Bronco Invitational features a men’s 8K and a women’s 6K race with competition beginning at 9:45 a.m. PT. Fifteen men’s and 20 women’s teams will compete in the competitive races.
