“This new group of grantees represents an excellent mix of emerging young athletes and more seasoned competitors, all of whom have the potential to achieve great things at the Olympic level,” exclaimed Board Director Preston Johnson.

Combined with grants that the Foundation awarded early this year the USA Track & Field Foundation has awarded $231,000 so far to emerging elite athletes in 2014.

Additionally, these athletes will have the opportunity to appear at various elementary and middle schools across the country in the USA Track & Field Foundation’s Run With US! program. The Run With US! program inspires children to live active, healthy lives through an innovative digital game and through energizing school visits by first class athlete role models. The program provides an opportunity for the elite athletes and Olympians to give back to their community.
