First Outdoor National Team Rankings for Division II Released

NEW ORLEANS – Though the indoor season officially wrapped up just this past weekend, a number of teams have been competing outdoors for several weeks to provide the basis for the first set of outdoor Division II U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) National Team Computer Rankings.

Full Rankings: Men | Women

The Chico State men and UC San Diego women came in No. 1 for their respective genders’ rankings. The full rankings can be found below.

Defending women’s champion Academy of Art is ranked No. 10, and defending men’s champion Saint Augustine’s has yet to open its 2014 outdoor campaign. The Falcons just claimed their second consecutive indoor team title this past weekend.

Unlike Division I and Division III, the Division II USTFCCCA National Team Computer Rankings are not influenced by preseason data. This first set of rankings should not be referred to as preseason rankings, but rather the first in a series of regular season rankings issued each week from this point on.
