Sir Francis Drake wins Stanford Inv. DMR

"Drake lads take on history as they race to national range time and new school record in the distance medley at the Stanford Invitational late yesterday afternoon in Palo Alto. John Lawson put on a brilliant 1 mile anchor leg, finishing the 4 laps in 4:13.5. Clayton Hutchins led off over 3 laps, fought out of a traffic snarl and came home with the lead in 3:09. Junior Devin Hallinan carried the baton around the Stanford oval 1 time and clocked 53.0 for his leg. Then the sophomore, Brody Barkan, ran wisely and successfully with a 2 lap time of 2:03.4. The boys were over twenty seconds faster than the 2011 time at the farm."
