Pete Richardson (Berkeley High School 1981) is alive and well

I received an e-mail from Pete Richardson (Berkeley High School 1981; Arizona State) today saying that he was alive and well.

Track and Field News reported in their October 2012 issue that Pete had died. It turned out that it was actually Paul C. "Pete" Richardson, who ran for the West Valley Track Club.

Track and Field News will report a correction in their November 2012 issue.

Great to hear he is doing just fine. I had the opportunity to watch him run in 880 yard run at Berkeley High School in northern California along with his former teammates who last name is Robinson whose brother was James Robinson 1980 Track Olympian denied to take part in the games that year because of the boycott in Munich. I lasted read Pete was coaching Track at my alma mater Galileo Academy and Science HS in San Francisco just a few years ago. (2012). I had the privileged to had met him at Berkeley. I was a recreactional level runner looking from the outside the fence.
