BERKELEY --- The second day of split competition for the California track and field teams produced numerous noteworthy performances, including the establishment of a pair of new Golden Bear school records and another event victory.
Junior Eugune Hamilton III and sophomore Bethan Knights cemented their names in the Cal record books with their respective efforts in the 800 Meters and the Mile at the Husky Classic in Washington. Hamilton’s third place mark of 1:48.94 broke the previous record set by former Bear Sean Carey at the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Championships in 2009.
