2012 (Junior): Continued to make Gael history in his second cross country season for Saint Mary's, never finishing worse than 19th place...placed 4th overall at opening season WCC Preview Meet in Portland, OR against mostly conference opponents...finished 12th at the Stanford Invitational (24:35), improving by roughly thirty seconds from the previous season...improved by nearly 1:30 at the Bronco Invitational, finishing 3rd overall (23:53) and the top Division I competitor...collected First Team All-WCC accolades after finishing 8th in a sloppy WCC Championships race (24:09)...became first Saint Mary's XC/T&F athlete to be named to the USTFCCCA All-West Region with 19th place finish at NCAA West Regional in Seattle, WA (30:10)…redshirt T&F season…ran 14:28.19 for 5K at the SFSU Distance Carnival competing unattached
2011 (Sophomore): Rewrote SMC record book in his first season...finished 27th at USF Invitational season opener (25:53)...broke existing four mile school record at Hornet Jamboree (20:23)...set season and personal best time of 25:06 at Stanford Invitational finishing 53rd overall...finished 25th (25:35) at first WCC Championships setting a new SMC record at the famed Crystal Springs course...toppled the existing 10K school record at NCAA West Regionals held at Stanford University (89th place - 31:12)...continued great first year with multiple sub-15 minute 5K performances...best race came at the Johnny Mathis Invitational with his 2nd place overall performance in 14:48.45...ended season with a competitive 14:53.90 at the West Coast Invitational finishing 12th overall amongst WCC competitors
