    Top Marks Highlight adidas/Steve Scott Invitational

    IRVINE, Calif. --- An array of career and season-best marks were recorded by UC Irvine in the 22nd annual adidas/Steve Scott Invitational on Senior Day at Anteater Stadium Saturday.

    Junior Brandon Howard won the 400-meter hurdles in a career-best time of 52.44 while Lloyd Sicard placed third in the 110-meter hurdles with a season-best time of 13.70.  Oliver Pham had a career-best time of 14.44 in finishing 10th in the 110 hurdles.

    The 4x100 relay of Sicard, Duane Solomon, Howard and Antwon Parker won the race in 41.14, and the 4x400 relay of Parker, Paul Resong, Isaiah Jewett and Sicard placed second with a season-best time of 3:11.12.

    Jewett finished fifth in the 400 meters with a career-best time of 47.82 and Paul Resong was 10th in 49.06.

    Matt Dispenza tied his season-best mark of 6-4 ¾ to finish fifth in the high jump while Matt Seawright was ninth in the shot put with a mark of 52-5 ½.

    Isaiah Thompson placed 10th in the 800 meters with a time of 1:51.32.

    Omar Valenzuela registered a career-best mark of 161-8 in the discus throw for 14th place, one spot behind Seawright (162-6).

    Anteater seniors recognized at their final home meet were Kolton Cody, Mike Graf, Kyle Hubbard, Charles Michinock, Oliver Pham, Duane Solomon, Cameron Vaca and Jake Williams.

    UCI competes in the the Big West Conference Championships May 13-14 at Long Beach State.
