Steve Prefontaine interview by Gary Cohen

Today's Interview Rewind is the 'tribute interview' I did in Jan, 2016 of Steve Prefontaine: 1972 Olympic 5,000m 4th Place; 7-time NCAA Champion; U.S. Records at all seven distances from 2,000m to 10,000m; Prep record 2-mile 8:41.5 at http://www.garycohenrunning.com/Interviews/Prefontaine.aspx It was a labor of love as 'Pre' was one of my heroes who inspired me to start running. This tribute interview is in a Q&A format and was released on Steve's 65th birthday (1/25/16) a...nd has quotes from Tom Jordan's book 'Pre,' many from the movie 'Fire on the Track,' from my interviews with his competitors, fromrequests I made from current top runners about him and from a two hour phone interview with Linda Prefontaine, his sister 'Little Pre.' Linda did all the 'Inside Stuff' with so much neat info only his sister would know. If you haven't read this, you will really enjoy this one! If you have read it, you will enjoy it again! ‪#‎pre‬ ‪#‎prefontaine‬ ‪#‎runstrong‬ ‪#‎runsmart‬ ‪#‎oregon‬ ‪#‎oregonducks‬ ‪#‎coosbay‬
