As a Junior (2014-15)

Rainero led the Big Red in the Paul Short Run (19th, 25:10) and at Princeton (13th, 24:29). At Ivy League Cross Country Heptagonals, he finished 24th (25:01.4), helping the Big Red to a second-place team finish.

On the track, Rainero took over as no. 5 all-time in Cornell history in the 1500, finishing in 3:45.81 at Bucknell. He also won the 3000 in 8:19.43 at the Upstate Challenge and the 800 in 1:55.51 at the SPIRE Invitational. He came in second in the mile at IC4A Championships with a time of 4:07.68. At Ivy Indoor Heptagonals, he ran the fastest mile relay split of the day (4:08.4) to help the Big Red place fourth in the distance medley relay.

As a Sophomore (2013-14)
Rainero had a solid sophomore year, beginning with a 4th place finish at the season-opener against Army with a time of 25:24.1. He also ran at the Boston College Invitational and at the Pre-National Meet. He ended the season at the Ivy League/Heptagonal Championships where he finished 47th with his season-best time of 24:45.6.

On the track, Rainero had a solid sophomore season in the middle distances for the Big Red. He kicked off his indoor campaign with a strong showing at the Robert J. Kane Invitational. He marked a 8:34.22 in the 3000 to take home 1st place, while he helped the 4x8 relay team to a 2nd place finish at the event. He came just short of breaking his career best 1000 time, posting a 2:29.36 to take 2nd place at the Deneault Memorial. At the Indoor Heps, he helped the distance medley relay team to a 4th place finish. The following week he again helped the distance medley relay team to a 4th place finish. Outdoors, he posted a new career best of 3:47.33 in the 1500, bringing home 10th place at the Bison Outdoor Classic.

As a Freshman (2012-13)
Rainero had a great freshman campaign, making Cornell's Heps roster and finishing seventh among the Big Red runners -- the highest-finishing freshman on the team. Rainero's season began with a 27th-place showing at the Yellowjacket Invitational, and he followed that with a 34th-place effort at the Princeton Invitational. He also took eighth at the John Reif Memorial Run's five-mile race.

On the track, Rainero qualified for the Indoor IC4As and ran in the mile, taking 26th place with a time of 4:13.81 to set a new personal record. The freshman took part in 13 events for Cornell during his first year with the team.
