Large School Varsity Boys 3 Miles

Michael Vernau (11) (Davis, Sac-Joaquin Section), 16th last year in 16:52, won in 15:20, a new meet record.  The old record of 15:32.6 was set by Luis Luna (Piner, Santa Rosa) in 2010.  Vernau was the fastest sophomore last year.  He improved by 1:32. 
 

Nick Borowsky (12) (Davis), sixth last year in 16:35,  was second in 15:56, ninth all-time.  He improved by 39 seconds.  He was the fastest junior last year.

 

Luis Grijalva (11) (Armijo, Fairfield), the frosh-soph boys 2 mile winner last year in 11:24, was third in 16:06, 18th all-time.

 

James Hutchinson (12) (Newark Memorial, Newark, North Coast Section) was fourth in 16:20.

Armijo, third last year with 138 points, was second with 73.

 

Cosumnes Oaks, ninth last year with 236 points, was third with 101.
