IAAF extends invitations to Epps and Lowe for IAAF World Championships

INDIANAPOLIS -- The International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) has extended invitations to U.S. athletes Chaunte Lowe and Christina Epps for the IAAF World Championships. Both athletes have accepted and will compete in Beijing later this month.

Lowe (Loganville, Georgia) captured her seventh USATF title in Eugene at the USATF Outdoor Championships, clearing 1.91m/6-3.25. A three-time Olympian, this is Lowe’s sixth World Championship team and third outdoors.

Epps (Baltimore, Maryland) won the women’s triple jump title in June, opening up with a jump 14.09m/46-2.75 that sealed the victory for the first time USATF Champion. This is Epps’ third senior team of the summer, competing at the Pan American Games and the NACAC Senior Championships.
