LOS ANGELES - The largest-ever professional field for the running of the 2015  ASICS LA Marathon on Sunday, 
March 15 with the addition of two premier U.S. long distance runners, Ryan and Sara Hall, who will both run the
 "Stadium to Sea" course for the first time.
The 30th edition of the ASICS LA Marathon includes a robust line-up of 61 American elites vying for the 2015 USA Track & Field Marathon Championships, which will take place within the annual race. Many of those Americans competing in the 2015 USATF Marathon Championships will gain experience in Los Angeles before returning to the city for the 2016 U.S. Olympic Trials Marathon on February 13, 2016.  
 
"This is shaping up to be one of the most competitive fields in the history of the marathon," said Tracey Russell, Chief Executive of LA MARATHON LLC.  "On both a national and international level, the breadth of talent is at an all-time high to set the stage for a historic race."
 
The pursuit of the 2015 USATF Men's Marathon Championship will be an aggressive one, with 35 American men competing for the title. Two-time U.S. Olympian Ryan Hall, who holds the fastest American marathon time (2:04:58), will be taking the men's competition to new heights.  
 
 

NEW YORK (March 3, 2015) -The 2015 TCS New York City Marathon official charity partner program opened for runner entry today, as Mary Wittenberg, president and CEO of New York Road Runners, announced the record-breaking $34.5 million raised at the 2014 TCS New York City Marathon through last year's program. The 45th running of the iconic five borough race will take place on Sunday, November 1, 2015.
 
"We are excited to launch our impactful charity running program that benefits hundreds of important causes," said Wittenberg. "Our passionate charity runners, who together raised a record-breaking $34.5 million last year, are a true inspiration, and we would like to express our sincere gratitude for their efforts. Since its inception, we are very grateful that our official charity running program has raised over $165 million."
 
NYRR's Team for Kids, the TCS New York City Marathon's largest charity, which raises money for NYRR's free youth running programs, is accepting runners online at runwithtfk.org . Headlining this group will be actress Natalie Dormer (Hunger Games, Game of Thrones) who will run as
an NYRR Team for Kids Ambassador.
 

PITTSBURGH, Pa. - The 2015 GNC Live Well Liberty Mile returns to downtown Pittsburgh on t he evening of Friday, July 31. Top American middle distance runners will again compete in the Steel City for $20,000 in guaranteed prize money that goes 10 deep with each race champion awarded $4000 in the American Development Program Pro Mile.
 
The GNC Live Well Liberty Mile is one of four events of the
Pittsburgh Three Rivers Marathon, Inc.'s (P3R)
American Development Program. The second-year program is an initiative designed to increase exposure and racing opportunities for emerging U.S. professional runners.
 

Chevron Houston Marathon Run for a Reason Charity Program Raises $2.5 million

HOUSTON ( March 4, 2015) - The 2015 Chevron Houston Marathon Run for a Reason charity program has raised over $2,500,000 to benefit 60 official charities. With more than 19,000 donations, this year marks the fifth in a row that fundraising has surpassed the $2 million plateau.
 
"The continued growth of the Run for a Reason program in recent years has been truly amazing as our official charities and generous participants raised over $2.5 million for the second consecutive year," stated Wade Morehead, Executive Director of the Houston Marathon Committee. "There has been significant growth in the number of donations received each year and the number of corporate teams participating is increasing annually as well. Interest in the program is at an all-time high and we are all extremely thankful to be a part of this philanthropic community."
 
Since the program's inception in 1995, more than $22 million has been raised to benefit various charities. Since breaking the $1 million fundraising mark in 2008, charity donations have generated over $16 million.
