USTFCCCA RANKINGS

NEW ORLEANS – The UCLA men’s and women’s cross country teams continue to be prominent figures in the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Division I Coaches Poll.

After two weeks of competition for the Bruins in the 2013 campaign, both teams are ranked in the West Region. The men checked in at number five in the region while the women moved up to seventh. In the national rankings the men are ranked 21st.The women are now receiving votes.

UCLA is coming off an impressive performance at the NCAA Inter-Regional Jamboree this past weekend, with both teams claiming wins at the Haggin Oaks Golf Complex in Sacramento. Kelsey Smith took top honors for the women in the 5K while Sergey Sushchikh won the men’s 8K race.

The Bruins will return to the trail on Friday, Oct. 11, at the Dual at the Rose Bowl held on the Brookside Golf Course in Pasadena.
