Martin Marić (born 19 April 1984) is a Croatian discus thrower.
He was born in Split. He finished thirteenth at the 2001 World Youth Championships and won the silver medal at the 2003 European Junior Championships. As a competitor for the University of Georgia, he attain All-American status in the Javelin by placing 6th at the NCAAs. After transferring to the University of California, he attained All-American Status in the discuss by placing 8th at the NCAA championships. In his senior campaign, he won the national collegiate championships by throwing 196-3, beating Ryan Whiting of Arizona State by only 2 cm on his final throw. He also competed at the 2008 Olympic Games, but without reaching the final.[1]
His personal best throw is 65.38 meters, achieved in April 2011 in Gainesville, Florida. He also has 72.31 meters in the javelin throw, achieved in May 2006.[1]

Amin Abraham Paul Nikfar (Persian: امین آبراهام پل نیکفر , born 2 January 1981 in San Jose, United States) is an Iranian shot putter. He graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 2004 where he was a member of the Pi Lambda Phi fraternity. [1]
Amin finished 1st (Gold) in the 2004 Asian Indoor Championships. He finished tenth at the 2005 Asian Championships. He also competed at the 2008 Olympic Games without reaching the final.
His personal best throw is 20.05 metres, achieved in July 2011 in Toronto. This is the current Iranian national record.
Amin is the son of Mohammad Nikfar and Diane Nikfar.

Alysia Montaño (née Johnson) (born April 23, 1986) is an American middle distance runner. She is distinctive by wearing a flower in her hair while running, a personal affectation she adopted trying to assert her femininity while training with men.
At the 2007 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, Montaño won her first national title in the 800 m with a time of 1:59.47. At the 2007 World Athletics Championships, Montaño was eliminated in the heats of the 800 m by finishing 4th with a time of 2:02.11.[1]
At the 2010 IAAF World Indoor Championships, Montaño won her first international medal, a bronze, in the 800 m, finishing with a personal best time of 1:59.60.[2] At the 2011 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, Montaño won the 800 m title in a time of 1:58.33 to defend her 2010 crown. She placed fourth at that year's World Championships in Daegu with her second fastest time of 1:57.48 minutes.
She came close to a personal best at the 2012 Prefontaine Classic, winning the 800 m in 1:57.37 minutes.[3]
