2011 Foot Locker Cross Country Championships West Regional

The top ten finishers qualify for the Foot Locker National Cross Country Championships in San Diego.

Junior Karlie Garcia (Roseville, California), second in the California State Meet Division III 5,000 meters in 17:20, won the 5,000 meters in 17:46. Garcia led at the mile in 5:19 and at the two mile in 11:22. Carrie Verdon (Moraga, California), fifth last year in 18:22, who defeated Karlie Garcia in the California State Meet Division III last week in 17:19, scratched because of injury. Senior Kelsey Braithwaite (Perry, Utah), the Utah State 4A champion, placed second in 17:55. Freshman Makena Morley (Bigfork, Montana), the Montana State Class B champion in record time, was third in 18:07. Sophomore Sarah Robinson (Los Altos Hills, California), third in the California State Meet Division I in 17:56, was fourth in 18:11. Sophomore Jordan McPhee (Normandy Park, Washington), the Washington State 3A champion, was fifth in 18:13. Junior Nikki Hiltz (Aptos, California), fifth in the California State Meet Division III in 17:46, was sixth in 18:17. Junior Segal Sydney (Beverly Hills, California), sixth in the California State Meet Division III in 17:53, was seventh in 18:32. Sophomore Clare Carroll (Granite Bay, California), fourth last year in 18:22, seventh in the California State Meet Division III in 17:56, was eighth in 18:33. Senior Cami Chapus (Pacific Palisades, California), second in the California State Meet Division IV in 17:57, was ninth in 18:34. Sophomore Anna Maxwell (Felton, California), fifth last year in 18:29, eleventh in the California State Meet Division IV in 18:06, was tenth in 18:38. Senior Emily Nist (Meridian, Idaho), three-time Idaho State champion, was eleventh in 18:41. Nist also qualifies for San Diego as Sarah Robinson declined invitation to the National finals because of a conflict with her commitment to the US national under 17 soccer team.

Four of the top eight girl's finishers competed in the California State Meet Division III. And that was without Division III champion Verdon running.

Senior Darren Fahy (Carlsbad, California), the California State Meet Division II champion in 15:03, won in 15:29. Senior Nathan Weitz (Spokane, Washington), second in the Washington State 3A, placed second in 15:30. Senior Dallin Farnsworth (Pocatello, Idaho), third in the Clovis Invitational at 15:13, the Idaho State 5A champion, was third in 15:41. Junior Andrew Gardner (Spokane, Washington), second in the Washington State 4A, was fourth in 15:41. Senior Billy Gaudreau (Dana Point, California), the California State Meet Division V champion in 15:28, was fifth in 15:42. Senior Cameron Miller (Bakersfield, California),eighth in the California State Meet Division I in 15:23, was sixth in 15:43. Senior Luis Luna (Santa Rosa, California), fifth in the California State Meet Division III in 15:28, was seventh in 15:43. Senior CJ Albertson (Fresno, California), sixth in the California State Meet Division I in 15:20, was eighth in 15:46. Junior Myles Smith (Long Beach, California), fourth in the California State Meet Division III in 15:24, was ninth in 15:47. Senior Kevin Durham (Lake Forest, California), fourth in the California State Meet Division I in 15:18, was tenth in 15:50.
