Victory J. (Rickard) Trumbly mother of Alice Trumbly (Coalinga High School; California) passed away

Victoria J. (Rickard) TRUMBLY

Born May 26, 1927, in Walsenburg, CO, Victoria passed away August 26, 2010, in Sacramento, CA, at the age of 83. She grew up largely on a guest ranch in north central Colorado. After graduating from the University of Colorado, she taught in Steamboat Springs and Coalinga, CA. While in Coalinga, Victoria met and married Richard Trumbly and raised three children. She later moved to Sacramento to be near her three grandchildren. Victoria is dearly missed by her brother Dr. William H. Rickard Jr., husband Richard Trumbly, children Philip, Alice, and Stephen Trumbly, and grandchildren Lark, Sam, and Tim Trumbly, as well as many other friends and relatives. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Shriners Hospital for Children at 2425 Stockton Boulevard, Sacramento, CA 95817 or the Trinity Cathedral Memorial Fund at 2620 Capitol Avenue, Sacramento, CA 95816. Services will be held Saturday, September 4, at Trinity Cathedral at 1 o'clock PM.

Alice Trumbly (Coalinga High School, California) won the 1976 State Meet 800 meters. She is #2 on the University of Califoria at Berkeley all-time 1500 meter list. She placed third in the 1980 AIAW Championships 1500 in 4:17.58.
