James Brewer (Cal), a semi-finalist in the 2009 World Championships 1500 meters in Berlin, has decided not to return to Berkeley.
"I really enjoyed it over there but being injured made me realise how much athletics is now part of my life," said Brewer. "I want to be the best athlete I can be and I now see myself as a professional runner than a student who also runs.
