SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The University of Louisville men's and women's track and field team finished the first day of the Meyo Invitational with a bang as throwers D'Ana McCarty and Jere' Summers (Berkeley High School, CA; Cal State Northridge) took first and second in the women's weight throw.

McCarty broke her own school record with a NCAA automatic qualifying throw of 73-04.50 (22.36m). That mark is currently the best throw of the 2010 indoor season.
